I will be honest, spending 1.1Lakhs on laptop for multimedia is a waste of money when you don't even know why you need it.Just for clarification,if somebody give me 1.1Lakh to spend on a laptop for multimedia,I can easily use its hardware close to 100% using madvr but then it is just hypothetical.

For 1.1Lakhs you should aim for a laptop with 1060 which obviously you will not be able to use even at 10% if you don't know how to push it for multimedia but then it is your money so your choice.

wait for experienced members like @SaiyanGoku to comment as I don't have any experience with gaming laptops.

What you will get in 1.1Lakhs will be either a gaming laptop or those "slim 2-in-1 touch tablet" type laptops which are even more overpriced than gaming laptop.Just because you had i7 & 8gb ram 5 years ago doesn't mean you actually used it in those 5 years. There is no point in buying an i7 which you won't even be able to push to 40-50% in next 3-4 years.I am just curious as to what exactly you have in mind when you talk about "futureproof". For me "futureproof" means that I should be able to do all the tasks without crossing 95% processor/gfx card usage for next 3-4 years.

Check if updated Dell XPS with 1440p/4k screen, 8th gen i5, 1050Ti is available in India. Don't go for hybrid hdd, get SSD+ HDD version instead.

Laptop market in India is utter crap TBH, doesn't matter if you want to spend even 100k+. (just for example, some Asus Vivobook with 8250u is around 500$ and I don't think it'll be under 60-70k in India)
I'd have recommended you to get it from USA/Dubai but since you don't want to do so, there is no point in searching for their links.
(you might find some exceptional laptops here on reddit: Laptop Deals • r/LaptopDeals)

At this point, don't go with a 7th gen core i series laptop, not even for the 7700HQ.

I think for your intended use 8250U would suffice (has 4 cores and 8 threads). See specification comparison of 8250u, 8650u and 7700HQ here: Intel® Product Specification Comparison

In the benchmarks, because 8250u has bit lower max turbo frequency compared to 7700HQ, it falls behind the latter, but i don't think those matter if all you want to do is watch movies, listen to music and little bit of photo editing.

There is no information regarding 8th gen HQ proccys for the moment and I don't know if intel will release 6 core HQ proccys like the desktop variants.

Read the reviews.

Was looking really good but then I read official specifications & apparently it does not have a lan port!

Again read reviews,no FHD screen & weak GDDR3 graphics card along with not so needed optical drive.

I knew the laptop scene is bad but never expected we're getting 3rd grade configurations at this price (no ssd or fhd screen and crap GPU).

It was always 3rd grade configs from HP at this price range.I have never seen any laptop from them with graphics card justifying a 50k price tag in last few years. You can forget about ssd though as that is universal in India & no model below 70k usually have them.FHD screens are getting more common but again only from not so major brands like Asus or major brands offering FHD screen with everything else as not so good config(like Lenovo).

Don't post just for the sake of posting, why would anybody want to spend 1Lakh+ on a processor series that is going to be discontinued soon.

Acer Nitro has 1050 which in my opinion should have been a 1050Ti for its price.Asus vivobook s12 is older discontinued model I believe.
