Mozilla Download problem

Iam having Mozilla 2.0.0.12 ver.My problem is whenever i start downloading....i cant view the status of my download......as it doesnt appear....I had click Tools - Downloads...but it doesnt show me the status of my download

Plzzz help me what should i do???????????/

Yes i can get the download box......but i cant see the status of my download....like how much mb remaining ..... yes it happens for all the downloads

1.first reinstall mozilla thru a good setup...
2.install the firefox addon "download status bar" its free & nice
3.to increase dl speed by 400% install "downthemall" its an accelerator 4
firefox....
