Hi
I have planned to upgrade my System.. I am planning to change my curren P4 with

  • AMD X3 8450/8650
  • AMD 780 G based motherboard... [MSI or Gigabyte preferably]

Other components will be 2gib ram ddr2800 mhz, 500gb hard disk and other other essentials..

Also please tell me are Canon printers [All In One] supported by Linux ?? Currently I own HP 1410 AIO but I have lost Power Connector and Cartridge are jammed.. SO getting both of 'em would cost me 2.5k.. Shouldn't I get a new printer by selling it :p

How will be the linux support? will I have any problem with 780 G based Motherboard ?

Which brand to look for.?.

Regards

no problem as far AMD 780G is concerned..
better get the latest STABLE kernel installed.

NOTE that you should use the STABLE kernel.

cant say about 3D for very high level gaming like crysis and not even better than any graphics card.

But ya the 780G will give much better amount of 3D than any existing integrated grahics solution.
As far as videos are concerned, it can play high definition videos too with built in HDMI and DVI support.

Ofcourse the 790 GX with Radeon 3300 graphics is a better option than 780G with Radeon 3200 graphics, else everything is your matter of choice.
