We've heard whispers about it. Some know its potential. Others wait for it with a 100 dreams.
A 2 way slide N-series S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1(Symbian 9.2) HSDPA (3.5G) phone (category 6 HSPDA device which means it is up to 10 times faster that WCDMA (3G)) with 5 MP (2592 x 1944) Carl Zeiss optics mechanical shutter cam with autofocus & DVD video(VGA 30fps) & a secondary CIF videocall camera; all taken in landscape mode.. a la the SE camphones. Not to forget, the WLAN, 3D stereo speakers for playing MP3, AAC, eAAC, AAC+ and WMA files, mini-USB 2.0 connector, built-in GPS navigation with anticipated accuracy of around 10m (satellite signal permitting) and an installed Maps application covering over 100 countries, TV-Out, 3.5 inch mini-jack connector, dedicated music buttons and camera buttons, 2.6" QVGA 240 x 320 pixel TFT 16M color display, 160 MB of internal storage memory, 64 MB of RAM, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, uPnP, infrared, UMTS, GPRS and EDGE, SIP support, BL-5F Battery with a proposed talktime of up to 6.5hrs & standby time of 220hrs. All that in compact body of 99 mm x 20 mm x 53 mm and weight of just 120 g!
Need I say anything. This phone's a bomb.

This wait is getting long. But for now, we can suffice by looking @ this super-phone. Some new pics I came across...

I am not even talking about the iPhone here. You are so infatuated with the device that you tend to bring it up in every discussion.
I am talking about this particular phone and it is duck ugly.

HSDPA and a five megapixel camera. HSDPA is unsupported in India, AFAIK. Anything else?
I don't see anything special in this phone, at least on the specs page on GSMArena.

Arya... this is a beginning for somethin good in India. Please don't spoil the pleasure.
Apple has its inherent flaws too. Take for eg it's high costs & maintenance values. It's like a white elephant for the common Indian. But Indians encouraged the IPod.

Apple is a computer company first... Nokia is a phone company. It'll take a while for Apple to @least try on Nokia's shoes. Till then... everyone'll go the Nokia & SE way.

Indians need time to accommodate technology. That's whats happening now.

About the phone. It's a beauty no doubt.. both in the looks dept & its purpose. U'll know the power of the N95 when it come to India. The only thing I feel missing in it is optical zoom. But then.. the phone'll b bulky, like the N93i.

I don't understand why you guys are dragging Apple into the conversation. I neither mentioned Apple nor the iPhone. This is not about comparing the N95 to the iPhone, which is undoubtedly the inferior product if you run a feature comparison of the two phones.

I'm curious to know what ugly phones look like if that thing is a 'beauty'! This is equal to saying that the MacBook Pro looks ugly and I have even heard that. That is a classic Nokia product - overladen with features, uglier than most phones, most likely slow, thick as a brick and will undoubtedly have an insane introductory price.

Kya power, yaar! What does it have apart from HSDPA and a 5 MP camera? I am not ridiculing it. It might have more features that I am unaware of. So, I would love it if you could just point them out to me.

At a thickness of 21mm, it sure isn't bulky yet! I think those guys at the Nokia labs forget that these are devices meant to be carried in pockets - and at most occasions in the pockets of jeans.
