Even my dad likes Touchwiz of his S2 (running 4.1) than stock android kitkat (he hasn't used my phone with Lollipop)
I personally also feel that custom android skins are worth a bit extra money. For my next phone, i will not buy a Nexus or Motorola (even if a Nexus 5 2nd gen launches)
For myself, brand value matters a bit, because I'm spending 25k or so..... I don't know how much will my Nexus 4 will fetch if I sell it (its 2yrs old)
If i'm suggesting phone for an elderly person like my dad or uncle, I will stay away from Xiaomi or Oneplus, if spending around 20k or more, even if it means getting a bit inferior specs, as for them reliability is what matters the most(so a good brand is necessary)
