Minimum req for readyboost in vista

Ready boost requires that the usb drive should be at least 256mb after format. Due to this i can't use my 256mb usb drive as it only shows up as 134mb. Now if i use my 512mb usb drive it is usable for ready boost even if it only 125mb empty.
if the drive need not be empty upto 156mb then why can't i use my 265mb drive?

it depends on u r usb drive life..........and company product.............i hd also been gone thrgh this prob.....if u hv u r usb in warrenty try to get new thrgh vendor..............................
