Hi guys, my friend wants a gaming PC on a budget
initially he (an absolute noob in the tech world) wanted to buy a 22k Lenovo AIO PC because of lesser clutter and thought it could play games and was upgradeable etc
I finally veered him towards Intel Compute stick with a monitor etc(He said he just wanted a barebones cheap system for movies, videos, browsing) until he mentioned gaming later on which is when I suggested him to buy components and build it himself
enough of me typing now , ill get to the point
1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Games such as GTA V(if possible or even if a future component upgrade could do it its fine),fifa(not a problem on even basic systems I know) ,Need for speed series
2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: budget max is 25K, he already has a hdd from his old system
3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO
4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7,he has a copy lying around (his dads company gave him a free copy few years ago :surprised
5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: He has a 320gb drive,Im guessing its Seagate,if another HDD can be included instead,it would be great as Im not sure if he has a SATA drive or not and hes a noob at this so...
6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: A monitor is needed, something reliable like Samsung,Dell,LG only pls
720p-1080p is alright,no hardcore preferences, bigger the better, cheaper the better too
7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: He has an HDD but pls try and include one even a cheap, small one is fine just in case he doesnt have a Sata one
8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Before end of next month
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler
10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Mumbai, mostly we will compare the prices everywhere first, then buy
Online ,Local, buying from assembler, all are possible, cheaper the better
11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: pls try and keep the budget as low as possible, even if he can add gpu later,it wouldnt be an issue
he just needs a PC urgently for basic stuff atm but dont compromise much as he cannot spend on major upgrades later on so a good CPU is a must, gpu only if possible, he doesnt mind buying later but if its possible now, well and good
Thanks in advance
