Medium Range Gaming laptop 45K

Broken In
Hi guys, I need suggestions for buying a laptop for my cousin. He believes in me & i believe in TDF members for suggesting a good laptop for him.

1) What is your budget?

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Gaming, HD Movies, Programming ...

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

6) Anything else you would like to say?
Will buy locally ... Ranchi or Jamshedpur(TATA)

He is a first year B.E student. I had gone through some of the posts and selected some of the laptops for comparison. COMPARISION

I feel the budget 45K is very confusing one. Had it been 40K i would have gone for Asus K53SM-SX010D or HP Pavilion G6-2016TX and if it would had been 50K then Samsung NP550P5C-S01IN. I am assuming local price will be 1K less than than flipkart price.

I have 2 questions

1) Can't buy Samsung NP550P5C-S01IN in this budget. Is Samsung NP350V5C-S04IN a good buy. Did anybody has own it.Please give ur reviews.

2) Any good DELL laptop for gaming in this range. What will be the minimum price of 14R/15R special edition laptops with min spec like non FHD,500 GB HDD,4 GB RAM, 1 or 2 GB 630m or 7670 or 640m GPU.

Please tell me to go for which one and if i had missed any please suggest me.

Flipkart is overpriced in terms of laptops...the one which you stated Samsung I5 lappy...was 52K on Flipkart...but i got it for 48.5K...local price is always 2-3K less than Flipkart...NP350 is a good choice but the problem is no one owns it here on this Forum...so you need to check it personally. DELL 15R is good..and my friend has ASUS K53SM...its really a nice laptop. stays cool..and doesn't have any problem.

:duh2::facepalm: @RON lol i had asked about choosing one among them ... u played safer side & listed all of them ... :-D

AFAIK it got overheating issues O_O

I was wondering ... one model Asus K53SM-SX010D 2nd gen laptop is excellent & having no overheating issues & Asus K55VM-SX120V 3rd gen is having overheating problem ... sounds odd

go with samsung NP350 :)

No doubt Samsung NP350 has the best spec at 45K price ... 1TB HDD & 2GB 7760m GPU ... but some user review would have been better particularly in the scenario of laptops getting overheated during playing games...

Bro I got an amazing deal for you that will make you don't even make a think for a sec.
Infibeam is selling HP Pavilion G6-2016TX Laptop Price in India, HP Pavilion G6-2016TX Laptop Laptop Reviews - Infibeam.com for just 41,749. It costs 42.6k in flipkart. It has great specs and performance. And you will get 2 years onsite warranty for free from hp india.

Thanks @rider but this is not for me ... it is for my cousin ... my job is to tell him the model number... his father is working in the SBI bank and Banks gives money to their employees for buying electronics items... the item(s) first have to be approved by bank ... i do not know much about it ... tedious process ... so do n't know how long this process will continue... I have to tell him the model upto this weekend....

Go for Dell 15r 5520 Dell Inspiron 15R Laptop (2nd Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 1TB/Win7 HB/ 1GB Graph): Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Dell Notebook
call dell and it will cost u 43500 and if u have a college id (urs or any1 u knowof) or ur dads government employee u will get additional 5%
So will cost rs42260. I just ordered 1 yesterday. And as it is direct from dell its safe and cheaper then market.
The box will include bag and everything u get with the laptop.
As for hp its not the most recommended brand right now due to heating issue , which i have seen myself on hp pavillion g6-2016tx.
It will run most latest games on mid resolution.
