MediaPlayer 11 woes.!

Got news from forum and fired my browser to download brand new media player 11 but after that there happened a tragedy to my old PC I was updating my win media player 10 but due to unexcepted power failture the process got irrupted now each time I try to listen music media player pops up with a error message that invalid version .
I tried to unistall it but all in vain plz help life without music sucks....... help me out (

Have you created a system restore point?
If yes, you can roll back to that point.

If no....
Try deleting the WIndows media player folder and clean the registry with a registry cleaner and instaling afresh.

no i had turned off system restore point and can't delete WIndows media player folder error says wmpband.dll acess denied any other way............

Go to Start->Run

c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP

if it still doesn't work, reinstall WMP11
