Media Player 10 issue

I have windows media player 10 installed on my system. my friend also has it in his computer . when he closes the media player 10 the music continues to play but the thing doesnt happen with mine.
What is this setting.

Hmm..., their is no settings. Just force the program to close. Run task manager and close it.

Does it happens for some time after closing... few seconds... 5-10 and max but rare 15 seconds or it continiously plays??

If few seconds then its normal... with WMP... it continious then kill it as drgrudge says
