I just bought another 1 gb of ram (UMAX) and with my 1 GB (dynet), i now have 2 gb of RAM

but when in CPU-Z its showing me the total frequency as 315.7 Mhz :(

whereas it should be 333 Mhz x 2 = 667 Mhz

so im getting just 315x2 = 632 Mhz

Please help.

do you think its the ram faulty?
i have tried swapping them in the ram slots but same problem *(i just have 2 ram slots)

or can you tell me some good hardware forum where i can ask this question.

Restore BIOS defaults and see if that works.
ive tried that its still showing the same. i also removed 1 ram chip
now even on 1 ram chip its showing 315.7-315.8 mhz

( i well remember when i got the system 2 weeks back it was showing 333.mhz)

i dunno whats going wrong..

go to bios nd set the cpu clock manually at 200 mhz[in case of AMD nd dun know bout intel]. This happens when its set to auto.

In the Cpu, i just have AMD Overclocking Configuration under which there are:-

1. Processor Voltage = AUTO
2. Processor Frequency Multiplier - AUTO (inside that i have various choices of frequency, last 2 are: x10.0 - 2000Mhz, x11.0 - 2200Mhz)

Do you mean i shud set it to x10.0 Mhz? or do you mean something else.
