Looking for a high performance gaming PC

Hi,
I recently assembled a system for work, and now with my PS3 malfunctioning, I'm looking to assemble a new PC.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Mostly for gaming and multimedia. Games include MW Black Ops, Crysis, BF3, FC3, Elder Scrolls. Also looking for multi-monitor setup, with only one monitor for games.
I'm viewing this PC as an investment for the next 5 years or so, so I wouldnt mind spending more today so that I dont spend much on upgrades down the line. Granted that it's hard to build a "future proof" PC, but I'd like to aim for that as much as possible!

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Up to 2L, I can stretch it by 10-20% if there is a good argument for it

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Yes, also hope that the GPU is overclocked

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Dual boot: Win8/Win7 + Linux. Will buy license copy of Win

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 4 TB + I would like an SSD for high disk seek performance

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 2 monitors 1080p. 24" and about 18"

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I would need all

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In the next 30 days

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: I will build it. I've built before

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Live in Mumbai. Am open to buying online or to buy from Lamington Rd

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: My room will not be airconditioned all the time, so i would like to overcompensate for the heat produced. Therefore, I'd like good case ventilation and cooling options, but should be quiet.

Thanks hitman
I'm not so familiar with liquid cooling so had a question. you suggest an Asus Maxima V Formula Mobo which has an option for liquid cooling within the Mobo. I'm assuming Corsair H100 is used to cool the CPU, so do I need another reservoir/pump system to cool the Mobo (in case I want to max the cooling)?

Motherboard : Asus Maximus V Formula 20500

Also wondering if in case I don't use liquid cooling for the mobo, if I should replace the Maximus with a Sabertooth z77. I like its dust protection and internal fan cooling. What do you think?

The above configuration is not at all well balanced. Why to spend Rs 47,000 over Monitor which is designed for RTS Gaming and most of the OP's mentioned games are FPS and TPS. However, the choice of CPU + Motherboard + PSU are great. OP can also get the Z77 Sabertooth Motherboard which is slightly cheaper.

For Monitor, get the following: Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" IPS Panel Display X 2 @ 30K
For Graphics card: Get Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X OC with Boost Crossfire.

Wait for Haswell to show up. At 200k, your system should be a bit futureproof and current Z77 motherboards don't have support for future cpu's.
For gpu, wait for NVIDIA "Titan". Rumors point at a feb launch i.e this month.

^ waiting for titan is worth but waiting for Haswell till June-July is not worth IMO.

CPU-> i7 3770k (Rs.20,072)
Motherboard-> ASUS MOTHERBOARD CROSSHAIR V FORMULA (Rs.16,952)
GPU-> SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD 7970 3GB DDR5 (Rs.29,016 )
CPU Cooler-> CORSAIR HYDRO COOLING H100 (Rs.6,864 )
Keyboard-> CYBORG KEYBOARD V 7 (Rs.5,526 )
mouse-> LOGITECH GAMING MOUSE G500 (Rs.3,640)
Monitor-> DELL 23" PROFESSIONAL SERIES TFT P2311 LCD (Rs.14,560 ) and LG MONITOR 18.5" LED (Rs.5,824 )
PSU-> CORSAIR SMPS-850TX (Rs.7,384)
RAM-> G.SKILL RAM RIPJAWS Z 16GB DDR3 1600FSB 4 GB x4 (Rs.6,812 )
Optical drive-> HP WRITER 12X BLU-RAY BD335I (Rs.6,864 )
HDD-> Seagate Barracuda 2 TB x2 (Rs. 11,600)

^^ Wrong mobo mate. Crosshair V is an am3+ board.

I guess you meant maximus v formula which is 22k.
And haswell is worth the wait for a 200k rig Period.

Thanks for the Haswell alert. I've been reading about it and yes, it makes sense to postpone the purchase till later this year when the new motherboards arrive in the market. I know i will be overpaying for it, but it will hopefully start paying for itself two years from now!

Thanks again
