logbas~1.exe launches IEXPLORER.EXE

well the topic name says most of it.
on boot up only i see 2-3 IEXPLORER.RXE events running. If i try to En Process any ony, a new service LOGBAS~1.exe runs for 1-2 sec and the IEXPLORER.EXE coms back. Due to this commit charge is 250+ MB on bootup only, while on normal start it is 160 MB.

Plz help.

Anywayz, download hijack thi!, google for it, do a scan and post the log file here or dl any good anti spyware like Spybot or MS Antispyware and do a scan or click start-->run-->msconfig.exe and thn click on startup. See if any logbas.exe is loading, uncheck that, apply and exit.

install, update and run microsoft antispyware and adaware or spywaredoctor.
install and use ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com to clear pc junk.
reset home/search pages using ms anti-spy.
this shud solve ur problem.
if required, run ur anti-virus in safe mode.

if this stl doznt help, post ur hijacthis logfile here !

thats a virus, RapidBlaster. google for more help.
even i had that one... i deleted the IEXPLORE.EXE, re-installed XP and finally went into formatting my c: drive. so take care....

:D :D I found that logbase.exe in 'C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bold grey help view\' folder.
Then I removed this folder from safe mode, now it's all ok. My PC is working fine, thank u.
