Local local LAN

well i have a 2 laptops(1 mine the other dad's) & a desktop pc.

I just wanted to cnnect all of them together for some data transfer & probably some gaming.

both the laptops have wifi enabled(not the desktop )

all of them have rj-45 conections enabled.

please suggest should have wifi connection or the traditional wired one.
