Recently bought a 4GB Kingston Data traveller Pen drive.I was thinking of installing Linux on it.So which distro should be used?I will be using it for surfing the net & listening to songs.

Slax has problem such as outdated modules.

If you want to use it as your own portable OS then either go for PC Linux OS MiniMe or Dream Linux.

I m using PCLinux OS MiniMe on my External HD. It boots from the HD & takes about 2 GB of harddisk space with swap partition included. With latest packages installed Via synaptic it is a total of 2.5 GB HD space.

Or you can use Zenwalk Core & install only those packages which u require keeping the size small.

i dint exactly mean only linux OS... any software will also do that... which does simultaneous read and write operation alternatively.
