have installed redhat9
and i have also installed the require rpm file for xmms to play mp3 file still
in xmms the bar is moving but i not able to here the voice ,at atime of sound card testing i have heard voice but in playing mp3 file i can't can u help me??????????????????

Upgrade to a later version of Fedora Core. Version 4 is out already.

FC4 = RH13. You are using RH9. So upgrade. If you need CD/DVD let me know. RH9 had issues with MP3 because of some licensing problems.

Have u tried using an mp3 plugin for xmms? Here:
