i am currently using limewire 4.10 version and i would like to download the limewire pro.but not from the official site.suggest me other websites from where i can download this software.

But i wonder if we really r s'posed to pay for it, coz Digit Cd had Limewire Pro in one of its issues a few months back. And it does not have an expiration period.....

I am using LimeWire PRO 4.12.0. I haven't paid for it and I don't know whether it is illegal or not - and I couldn't care less.
If you want LimeWire PRO legally, visit *www.frostwire.com/. It is exactly the same program but with an altered name and the lack of 'Content Filter'.

Webby's World says how to get the open-source paid-for version of, the Gnutella client, LimeWire for free.

Since, Limewire is open source i believe it is legal.

Also try *www.frostwire.com/ another open source alternative.

Actually this is illegal. It is legal only if the program from the original sourcecode was compiled. But as said in the readme file of the download from limewirepro.net.tc,

The LimeWire PRO installer is downloaded from the Official LimeWire
Website and the subscription cost is being shouldered by us.

We don't compile this version ourselves nor modify/tamper it in any way.
You may compare the MD5 checksum of the installers if you want.
So just SHUT UP and be thankful coz we saved you $18 bucks off your wallet.

So as you can see, this is downright illegal.
