Nexus 5 easily gives a screen on time of 4-4.5 hours with moderate usage, Wi-Fi always on, sync on. In fact sometimes I just need to charge my device once in 2 days :p

Do u switch off your mobile for a day or something?? because I have a Nexus 5 too and the highest backup I got is just below 24 hrs

No I never switch it off. I do however keep the brightness very low(around 10-15%). Plus my usage mainly involves playing games, FB, whatsapp and surfing on Chrome.

Now there is a trick to get good battery life though. You'll need ROOT access. Use an app called Greenify. Also use some RAM clearing app.

I haven't changed my kernel yet or put a custom recovery since my phone came with 4.4.2 pre-installed & as a nexus owner I want to wake up one day with a notification saying New Version Available, Update now :p

even if u have custome recovery & kernel, u will still get a OTA notification.. so go ahead.

^^ Yes I might get the notification but I won't be able to update it. Well that's what I concluded from my research on xda. I might be wrong though.

yup.. But only if u have a custom kernel.. if u only have root + custom recovery the OTA will get done.

Ohh I see. But in your last post you said "even if u have custome recovery & kernel" so I gave my reply.I don't need a custom recovery as I'm not planning on flashing any ROMs at the moment. I'm happy with stock. I have rooted my device. I've got my OG Note to mess around with :D
