Lg Dual Layer Dvd Writer??? Info Plz..

iam planning to buy dvd writer i hav decided to buy sony dru 820a,but now my friends r suggesting that lg is best for performance,service and warranty .

is it good to buy LG DVD WRITER or i should opt for sony DRU-820A???


pls help me and suggest me a good one and tell me a price ....

LG isn't good at all. Yes u can try sony but I opted for ASUS just 1 week ago due its gud features at a reasonable price u can read ASUS DRW-1608P3S review on www.cdfreaks.com and see it urself. I got it for 2200/-

Been Using for the past a year or so ... i have No Problems wat so....i am 100% Satisfied

@jack// ani.... my Lg Cd wirter has Been working for past 3 years ... Now my Dvd writer for 1 year...LG is a real Kool Brand if u want Stablity & Good Performance... last Really well

My Cousins Office has about 50 LG writers all r working really well with No Probs wat so ever

well your case seems exceptional, as lg and samsung drives have a bad reputation among majority of people......its a fact, not mu hunch!!

btw, you are taking about cd writer......whereas discussion is about dvd writers.

I'm using LG GSA4167B dual layer DVD writer since May2005 never faced a single problem. So far I've burnt well over 1000 dvd's. I heard people say that Sony is better (maybe so) but I never owned a sony, so can't comment on Sony. Regardless of what people say there's NOTHIN wrong with LG. Unless u r a tech geek who wants 2 extract the last bit of juice out of everything buy LG or Sony or Samsung
