LED TV as a Monitor

Can a full HD LED TV be used as a monitor for Desktop for multimedia purposes??

If so, will there be a difference in image quality when compared to a Full HD Monitor...??

Please suggest any cons of this setup too.

FOr multimedia purpose at a optimum distance , yes.It will be nice , specially gaming.

FOr documents , web browsing or any text-related work , it will not be a good idea.Probably eye-strains , and similar issues.
