Lazy Booting..........

Hi all,

My friend has a system having Asus A7V400-MX Motherboard along with Sempron 2400+ processor........problem is that it takes full 3 minutes to load WinXP......but it takes just 20-30 secs for Win98SE........Please is there any solution to improve it's speed.....Tried with SP2 also....

use DR salmans window power tools 4.7 to improve your bootup time


also disable statup services by
windows+r
msconfig
startup tab
disable some you dont know
thats finished !

try expertno.1 's advise !!!

could be due to bad sectors in the boot area of the partition !!!

disable some start-up programs, do a Disk Defragment and Virus scan of ur computer.

[1] Disable useless services (services.msc).
[2] Disable unnecessary startup programs (msconfig.exe).
[3] Defragment regularly.
[4] Use Microsoft Bootvis.
[5] Also try Daschund Software's Zoom.
[6] Keep a minimum number of icons on your desktop (may or may not help).
