Laptop pixel flickering

The bottom line of my asus laptop is flickering. I am not able to figure out the issue.

If its in warranty take it to a service center to get it sorted out. Else you might have a bust display that needs replacement.

Does it change if you change the inclination of the display? Thing is after extensive use, most of the laptops start developing such small issues after 3-4 years.

Looks like the CFL backlight is dying.

The principle is the same as the tube lights in our houses flicker before dying or when the choke is dying.

No. But it is visible only on static screen. Doesn't bother during gaming.
And only bottom line flickers not the whole screen.

So i turned on the laptop and for few seconds it started fading and then completely went white.

Yes, this is so much helpful. A friend of mine upgraded his laptop's screen from 720p to 4k this way.

The cost of replacement + repair goes around 6k. Already spend 7k+ before on laptop. Any alternative besides using an external monitor.
