Nope. Not for a laptop. Laptop components are packed very close, hence heat dissipation is not sufficient enough anytime. Switch it to "Hibernation" mode when not in use.

I won't recommend it.
PC can be kept on for 24x7 because it is spacious inside. air can flow prperly.
in laptop it can't

i have hp pavilion dv5200tx.....my laptop keeps on for abt 18-20 hrs in a day....but i dont have ne heating issue with it......
