@Sam & Rahul,

Thanks. How about Dell vostro 1550 / 3550 compared to the above ones?

Vostro are business laptops and come with either integrated graphics or Radeon 6630. 6630 is slow and is hardly faster than HD4000 found in 3rd gen Core i processor. So if you want a laptop that can run games at mid setting, least is G6 2006TX or if you are happy with light games (2008-09 games) then wait for 3rd gen Core i5 based Vostro or ThinkPads. Those will cost 38-40k and should be available in a month time.

@Sam
3rd generation Dell Vostro laptops are already available but it's 56000K [core i5, 4 GB Ram. 500 GB Hard disk)

The Dell Online Store: Build Your System

Games doesn't matter and as I said my preferences are

1. Performance, better build quality, durability & better display
2. Good battery backup & relatively less heat
3. Also, I don't need windows OS and instead I would prefer to use the bucks for higher configuration.

Considering only the above factors, tell me which one should I buy in the range of 40k. I have the following Laptops in mind

1. New! Inspiron 15R - core i5(3rd generation)/ 4 GB Ram/500 GB HD/Intel® HD Graphics 4000/windows 7 home basic

he is not a certified buyer on flipkart. Go with the comments of people with Certified Buyer green tag only. Or check with someone who really owns the G6.
I havenot heard any complaints of people using other models of G6.. They get around 4hrs...

Anyways...check it out...
