1) What is your budget? (INR or USD)

- Between 15-20K INR. The lower the better.

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

- No constraints. With this budget I think ~15" max would be available.

3) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

- No preference. Whatever works best at this price range for the requirements below.

4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

- This laptop is mainly for training purposes for my younger sister. Mostly DOS, Microsoft Office stuff. Watching movies is secondary, and no specific emphasis on gaming.

5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

- Whatever is manageable within the budget.

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

- Local purchase (from Chandni Chawk, Kolkata) is preferred. Warranty details, if available.

Thanks for your time!

Don't think so. But locally you'll find this piece cheaper just check that it has 2nd gen Pentium Dual Core (B9x0) and not 1st gen (P6x00).

If you want a cheaper alternative then try to get the Toshiba Satellite C665 which is the older version of the C850 with the first gen.P6200 Processor and 2 USB ports. Rest everything is same as the C850.
