Hi Anish, there are 2 other Acer Models( Aspire 4736 W7, Aspire 5738 W7 ) based on the Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 CPU, both have 3GB RAM & 320BG HDD. Both cost 33,250/-.

But I strongly recommend the HP CQ41-216 TU it has the newer Intel Core i3-330M CPU, with 4GB RAM & 320GB HDD. It however comes only with MS-DOS preloaded. But at a price of 33,450/- it gives every other laptop in the planet a run for its money in the same price range. :bananana:

The overheating problem regarding AMD CPUs in laptops is absolutely true. My friend's sister has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Based Compaq Laptop given to her by her college. When playing NFS Most Wanted on it heates up so much tat we can't even hold it in our hands. Infact we can try an omlete on the lap's backside! TAT HOT! :hyper: :eeksign: :banghead: :flamethrower:

Acer 5738 W7 = Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 + 3GB RAM @ 33,250/-

HP CQ41-216 TU = Intel Core i3-330M + 4GB RAM @ 33,450/-

Core-i3 is way more advanced than the Core 2 Duo CPUs, and the Core-i3-330M CPU in particular is currently one the best laptop CPU around. So which is better? :doublethumb:

this one looks really good, better than the acer & HP models in the same price range, I recommend going for it.

speaking of compaq, its now a subsidary of HP, and HP positions the lower-level segment of their laps as 'HP Compaq', while others, as just 'HP'. Don't know anything abt the reliability & durability of Compaq laps. But haven't heard any negative comments abt it either.....

regarding dell, many are choosing dell laps these days, many students in my college have dell laps than any other brand....

I suggest that you go in for Dell Inspiron 15r........First of all you are saying that laptop is not a thing that is purchased after a short span of time and now you want to compromise for a few bucks? When you can shell oy 33k then what is the deal with 36k...also see that in the extra 3k you r getting original win7 and A GRAPHIC CARD!!!! Which maybe supports DirectX11!! Think of the quote" mehnga roye ek baar, sasta roye baar baar!!!"

If your budget is up to 50k and you want a damn good Graphics card, there is a single option:
Acer 5740G-6979G, best gaming laptop at budget. Go for reviews in any site and you will find it is the best. I personally tested it.
Price @43k. But street price is around 42.5k

Basic config:
Core i5 420M (2.23 GHz, 3 MB L3, 2.57 GHz Turbo Boost)
4 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 Ram (max up to 8 GB)
500 GB 5400 rpm SATA
1 GB GDDR3 ATI Radeon 5650 DirectX 11 Graphics
15.6" screen with Acer Cine Crystal Technology; MAx Resolution: 1366X768
Dolby Digital SRS Tru Surround Output
4 USB
3 Hrs Battery back up (It is true, I personally tested it)
1 Yrs Warranty.
2.8 Kg

This is the best gaming laptop. I personally tested it with Crysis, Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age, Far Cry 2 etc. Crisis, even in max details with 2X anti aliasing gives you Around 30 fps.
Battery back up really good. Even with watching HD contents, it went for almost 2 Hrs.
Extra money can be utilized for having an Extended warranty of 3 Yrs(3.k around), buying a good Laptop cooler (1k) and a 9 Cell back up battery around 3k. These are very useful things, which extend the life time of your laptop.
Go for it with eyes closed.
