but isnt the USB keyboard Plug N Play on XP

its not working in xp, but it works in pure dos, before the xp starts

Do u have any cd came with that mouse , it must contain
drivers for u rmouse.
Normally Xp detects hardware automatically.So u must not have such problem !!
Check whether it is configured properly in Device Manager.If u have any hardware problem with mouse then it will show red mark.
