Avoid wireless for gaming.

As far as mousepad is concerned, I've used mx510 and mx518 for about 3 years I am using it and still fighting the good fight. I've always used good enough mouse pads. With mx518 I've used with razer goliathus control edition. The case feets are still in the same good old condition like they used to be. The surface was pretty okay. Between these years I've seen those with mx518s and Death adder spending 800 bucks or so on those mouse feets (I think its from steel series through those deals from Team ATE but I am not too sure) and replacing it.

In short, you're spending good money for the keyboard-mobo combo, it makes sense to have a decent enough mousepad. Size? Depends more on your needs. I use an oversize version of the pad for which I am glad I took that instead of medium or worse small.

Does it make difference in gameplay? Well it feels "different" if not good, but you get used to it. Depending on the mouse pad and your experience with the previous surfaces the it glides smoothly/bit rough (which is not a con as some prefer using such mouse surfaces).

Choose a mouse based on this explanation: [P]Which Grip type are you?
