What is the life of a key board. I was forced to change two key boards within a span of two years? Will the key boards also affected by computer virus?

There is no specific lifetime for Keyboards, it all depends on Usage and maintainence. Just keep it clear and covered.

Also brand matters. I am using Logitech Keyboard for the last 5 years, no problem till now.

A BIG NO.... Viruses and spyware and other malicious programs has no effect on your keyboard.

Maybe you want to get checked your MOBO ports too. ;)

Suppose Somehow Viruses are Invented for Keyboard, as a result of this:

Suppose you are typing and suddenly the Keyboard keys starts jumping or change their position in order to make you completely baffled. :D

Now in order to tackle these Keyboard Viruses, Anti-Virus Companies will make XYZ KeyBoard Anti-Virus - Stops 100% Jumping of your Keyboard Keys.... :D ;)

Well, I have this cheap Chicony brand keyboard (made in China) which I got along with my 1st machine. It lasted 6-7 years thru fairly heavy use. As far as I remember, the price that time was not more than Rs. 200! It had a great "feel"... even my MS keyboard does not feel that great compared to it! Thats value for money!! :)

In comparision my iBall was totally unsatisfactory throught and went stone dead as soon as out of warranty.

So brand does matter a lot!

If you want a really long lasting keyboard, consider a TVS mechanical keyboard. They are supposed to last for eons. I belive they are noisier than membrane keyboards though, and cost more.
