Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal

I installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal on My System
when i scan from it, it find our more than 200 virus & showed that my explorer.exe, photoshop.exe & many other programes are infected with virus
(that was not true all my prog. was running very fine)
after that it showed that my files are now been disinfected by KAP
But after this i m not able to run any programme even i m not able to uninstall it
even my messenger has been corrupted & unable to reinstall
wht to do now

antivirus is givin true report your comp is infected with some sort of win32 series virus.
all your exe's are infected. only solution is to run complete scan of your pc clean all exe or
best way is to delete all exe's other than of the C (hosting windows) scan for further infection with some good antivirus (use avast Professional trial) format your C drive do clean installation


for future always keep your exe files rar'ed

yeah ... Better option is a reinstallation of Windows and Then user KAV 6.0 to find all those bugs in other HDDs and kill thme

In future, to prevent yourself from falling into this mess, soon after you install windows and all your programmes take a image of your system drive, i.e, C: and save it on some other drive. Acronis True Image is a good programme for doing this. In case anything goes wrong, just put the recovery CD generated using Acronis True Image and it will recover your entire system to its original form. This will hardly take 10-15 minutes.
