I'm using Windows XP and KAV personal 5.083

The last 6 days when ever i log on to my system, the following message shows from the KAV.

Attention! A trojan detected.
----------------------------------
Access to the object c:\windows\sys secure.txt is blocked.
object is a Trojan.
Back door.win32.ciadoor.12.b.
you are advised to delete this object.

same like this another file c:\windows\system32\zippy.txt.

and

Firewall protact has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience.

In this stage what i have to do?

I'm deleting the files but every time i log on to my system the same .txt files showing like this.

Is there any option to scan my system from DOS mode with Kaspersky Anti-virus...?

How can i do it?

please tell me...

There is no doubt that Kaspersky is best antivirus to rely on. But it causes problems at times. I left Kaspersky and started using NOD32. Is it good to continue?

@naikosen

yeah NOD32 is better than kaspersky (i consider it)

@satyagen

try to get in safe mode and then perform the virus scan

nah dude this is not the solution
changing antivirus means changing your faith
have faith in the antivirus
first try all what you can do and then go for changing the antivirus

in this case running the scan in safe mode is good option

how bout just reinstalling the KAV... then as swatkat says...

swatkat said:
I would suggest you to perform a full system scan in safe mode.

with a little adition that, turning of the System restore...

i think KAV personal it self dont have a firewall... the fire wall u r talking about must b windows XP firewall or 3rd party firewall.... if it is winXP firewall then make sure u have the SP2 loaded with all the updates... & might make a system file scan run command SFC /SCANNOW...

Kaspersky has a Firewall called Kaspersky AntiHacker. But this doesnt come bundled with Personal AV :)

@satya_gen, you may need to reinstall AntiHacker, if files related to it are missing/corrupted.

satya_gen:
turn off systemrestore.
 uninstall kaspersky.
reboot
run ccleaner (download from www.ccleaner.com) to clear pc junk.
reboot.
install, update and run in safemode pestpatrol (a good anti-spy) or ewido to remove the zippy worm. (www.download.com)

 install and update kav.
if there is an option (like avast), schedule a boot-time scan; else run kav in safe mode.

if it still fails use delete doctor (*www.diskcleaners.com/ ) to delete the files syssecure and zippy.

nod32 is good, no doubt, but kav is also a good one ! no need to change, unless u find operational problems; though personally, i prefer the one-stop zass. :)
