I hate all bollywood films. I never waste my money on such films. Just by watching the trailers on TV I have been able to predict the storylines of almost all flop hindi films. I knew beforehand that this s**t film was a sure shot flop. Here's a piece of advice: Any hindi film which is over hyped and over advertised will always turn out to be a piece of crap even by the standards of hardcore hindi film lovers. Just take a look at Chandni cHowk to china. Also I can tell that "New York" will be another piece of garbage, just by looking at the innumerable TV ads and interviews given by it's mindless actors, John, Katrina and Neil.

'New York' is a good movie. I have personally watched it.

Brilliantly said.

Kambakht Ishq movie review.
Yes, coming straight from the movie show and I feel a few (who r willing to go) of my fellow mates should be warned.

Cast: Akshay Kumar, Kareena, Aftab Shibdasani, Amrita Arora, Zaved Zafari, Kiran Kher, Boman Irani (why he acted here no idea) and one dumb girl(plays Kareenas sis)

Story: It took time for me to search the story. In short (well, the story is short) Aftab marries Amrita. Akshay (Ak) and Kareena(Kar) doesn't support it individually. Kar is a med student and Ak is stuntman. Kar and Ak hates each other. Somehow Ak meets with an accident and had to be admitted where Kar is pursuing her degree. She tries surgery on him and leaves her watch in his stomach. To save her career she seduces Ak, recovers watch and dumps him. At the end both get married.

Well this is exactly what the movie is. Nothing more is in there, and its true.

Acting: There is no scope of showing acting talent in this movie. So leaving it.

Location: A few bullsh1t movies are there which at least show some good scenic beauty, but this movie did not even bother to do that.

Camera: Always focusing on women upper part or lower part.

Direction: Kareena proved its the director who makes the actor work. I can't believe she acted in "Jab We Met".

+ve Points: (Well I believe not every movie is total waste. Exception: Partner)
1> "Bebo" song sung by Alisha. Good beats and so magical and seducing style of singing. None but Alisha can do this.
2>Stallone.

-ve Points: The movie is full of this. Just mentioning a few of them.
1> The movie.
2> Un-necessary songs which doesn't at all suite the situation.
3> Kareenas sis-on-screen. Why is she in this movie? Who did take her screen test?
4> Kiran Kher. She can find better movies than this. A total waste.
5> Boman Irani. Total waste. Screen presence <5 mins.
6> Javed Jafari. Totally un-necessary character. Does not add anything but screen time.
7> Stallone. Why did he even care to show his face in this movie. He is given once action scene where he is walking down an empty street (He is stallone in the movie too and he's shown walking without body guards in deserted street). Our heroes and heroines collide with him as some "gundas" were chasing them. Sly beat them up. Thats it. Does it fcuking add anything to the movie??
8> The director wanted to cash Farah Khan's idea. She in "OSO" made one award function and showed 35 bollywood actors. Here OUr director (or producer) tried to make a similar event and shows a few hollywood actors (I believe those were Cannes recorded footages). And this does not click.
9> Jokes. This was supposed to be a rom-com. Leave romance. It hardly made me laugh twice in the movie that too only in one scene. Joke level was like Epic-movie levels without the nudeness.
10>Skin show. Yes just un-necessary skin show. If u belong to those conservationalists don't even bother to watch it. And if u r a minor and planning to watch it with ur parents. Believe me both of u will be embarrassed. Rest of all better get hold of a porno, at least it would quench ur thirst (if thats the only reason u r planning to visit this movie)

Bas enough. I can't waste my time any more.

My verdict. Listen to the music and forget there are dialogs between those songs. Don't even bother to watch it in pirated cd/dvds. Its not worth of that much money too.

Rating: 2/10
This has the tamil Kamal Hassan movie "Pambhal K Sambhandam" written all over it. And that was an epic laugh riot, which I still watch if it comes on TV . :|

I simply cannot believe that they tried to copy this. First it was Bhool Bhulaiya (nothing close to the original laugh-riot Chadramukhi, which was in Tamil) and now this. :???:

Tamil jokes are a little different from regular ones, as there are lots of similar words with different meanings, which leads to confusion, and of course, humour. Hindi writers IMO dont have that liberty, thus their jokes in such movies end up even worse than a toddler' PJ , which on hearing might invoke a smile, but hearing it from Akshay or Kareena, it's got "EPIC PHAIL" written all over it.

Also add the fact that Kamal Hassan is a literary-acting-directing genius, through whom you can get stomach cramps from die hard humour, while Imtiaz Ali, well, I dont think I need to elaborate. :| ("Jab We Met" was also stupid IMO, dont know why people were crazy about it)

As it is I find Bollywood music and films to be too cliche'd, which is why I mainly dived into the metal scene. Now, I doubt whether I'll ever "decide" to even see a Bollywood film in the future. Period.

Thanks for warning me dude, I really appreciate it ;)
