JAVA or C..need help

I finally came to conclusion that....

Since i know basic of both lang...
i am starting with Core java....
i think herbert Schield..in best to start with....
also webpages from sun site is , good option...

do C very very first, till pointers & DS. get ur programming basics clear. it shouldn't take more than 2 months.
then shift to C++ for oops. 4 months max.
finally turn to JAVA
& i bet then u can work on any language that comes to u.

for the market positions u can search the web pages. here is my review,
Java - Most stable & highest paid salaries
J2EE - In very much boom
.NET - Spuring up very fast & will dominate the market (must know at least 2 langs.)

plz keep in mind that,
1. every language has its own domain
2. u can not survive with one language
3. u can not master multiple languages
4. u can start vb programing without reading a line so save it for the bad days
