Hello geeks,
I found this link yesterday hope it doesn't exist in this forum, if so redirect me.

Yes they previewed the ivy bridge core i5 with gigabyte.

Ivy Bridge preview with GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H (Intel Z77) and Core i5 3570K :: TweakTown USA Edition

I am confused with benchmarks. Please have a look into this

Good to see Gigabyte finally removing that meaningless and bulky heatsink in the middle. Finally, the first PCIe x1 slot can be used, unlike their Z68/P67 boards.

On the other hand, the back panel I/O combination is the worst I have ever seen. They have now started to include all sorts of video connectors in the back plate. Four of them? And just 6 USB ports. No PS2 port but VGA. Odd combination. And this is supposed to be their highest end board (discounting Sniper series and boards with NF200 chips).

Were you really expecting a chipset upgrade to bring out big performance boost in older CPUs? ;)

Oh i see my mistake. I was looking @ i5 2500k not the board which is used :)

I wonder what i5 would have performed for p67 or z68 mobo with same benchmarks
