Is Updating System Bios Safe ?

is updating system bios safe?? Does it change anything like settings and all..will my laptop work fine if i update bios..

yes updating a system bios safe until and unless you dont do it the wrong way..
choose the right bios and the correct steps to flash (update)
everything will be fine and ok.. BIOS SHOULD B UPDATED for better compatibility results
