Is toshiba good in making laptops?

Hey fellas,

I had almost finalized to get lenovo G580(3rd Gen core i5) model. But then I made a shocking discovery that, Lenovo is Chinese computer manufacturer. There I dropped the plan of getting lenovo laptop. :p

Now I've found a Toshiba laptop with similar specs. Toshiba is good company for TVs and all for sure, but I am not sure about Toshiba when it comes to laptops.
Does anyone have any experience with Toshiba laptops?

Btw This is model I decided to go for.

I'll upgrade the RAM to 4GB.

Is this a good choice? Toshiba is worth spending money?

yes I am using a toshiba for last mmmm 7 years :D

I have handled it quit roughly and its working fine...althought its screen clip got broke and had to spend 2k to repair it..

The good thing was that even after 7 years I find the small spares...and other things never fail...its quality control is very good

I dont know condition right now :)

Thanks for the reply sujoyp. I'm seeing some really good reviews for toshiba. I think I should for it. :D

Toshiba was one of the best in that segment sometime back but not any more.Now I recommend you to stay away from it.
