Does Vista support 865G chipset of Intel?
Can anybody give me the link for its WDDM driver?
Can I run Vista with this chipset without buying a graphics card?

Sorry to say man But Intel 865G chipset Dosent support vista:mad: .Intel has been working with Microsoft to develop and deliver WDDM (Windows Display Driver Model) drivers for its next-generation hardware platforms. The Intel 945G & 945GM Express Chipsets will be the first Intel products to support the Windows Vista Aero user interface using WDDM drivers. You may use blackle to View more indformation abt u .

Am running Vista on an 865GBF, but with a GeForce 7600GT :p

I think you can run Vista on it, sans the AERO, but am just guessing, cause till date I've never tried my onboard graphics. I ran Vista on the same board with an MX4000 before this. And it worked well, without AERO.

Is actually a real word..
yeah I think what iceeeeman meant was that the integrated video would not work. mostr integrated video chips will not work with VISTA except newer more recent boards.

Certainly, The older onboard Graphics solution can't deliver for Vista's requirements. Consider the newest 690G chipset from AMD which are Vista Premium Ready.

@author: get your hands on some newer graphics card if you want to get the experience of the newer AERO interface.

PS: I consider that Vista Aero is the only thing that is pulling ppl to use it, Otherwise there is nothing good in it, Wat say..?

does it detect ur graphics as intel 845 or as standard garphics adaptor . the latter will cause high cpu usage ( like wat xp does even when u drag a window when u still havent installed drivers ) .

rockstar24

Right off the assembly line
it is also not supporting Sound also...any body have 865 GBF sound driver which is compatible to VISTA......
i am using it with out sound,AERO.... for testing purpose
