Is it possible to upgrade my PC?

I have bought this PC in 2008. The PC is branded (ZENITH). The PC specs are:-

Proc:- amd athlon 64 3500+
motherbd:- ECS AMD690GM-M2 (Socket AM2 )
ram:- 512 mb ddr2
hdd:- 80 gb
monitor:- 15.6" led supporting up to 1280*720
gpu:- only onboard ati radeon x1200, no discrete gpu
psu:- local made 450w
case:- cheap local ones

i used to play games like igi, even i hv played pop:warrior within on this. now my question is are there any chance of upgrading this pc to be able to play latest games(like gta4, cod, nfs, mafia II etc) or should i start from scratch?? help plz. depending upon ur replies i will be preparing my budget.

The main problem is the CPU. Even with the mid range graphics cards, there is a high chance of bottleneck. Also DDR2 rams are reaching their End of Life and are costlier now a days.
My suggestion would be selling of the whole system and get a new DDR3 based system.

other than the hard drive & monitor (if you can live with low space & small screen), your whole system needs to be changed. upgrading will cost more & performance will be marginally better.

suvajit,You need to change motherboard,processor,ram and psu but what is your budget?
