invalid page fault message

I keep getting the foll. error message as soon as my desktop comes on :
'This program has performed an error & will be closed down'
This comes in a box/window titled ' Winstall' & when one clicks on 'Close' it disappears , but it is very irritating to have to go thru' this everytime . If one clicks on the other option ' Details ' , one gets the foll. message :
"Winstall caused an invalid page fault in module WINSTALL.EXE at 0/67:0040/f8a

Try to boot into safe mode and then type msconfig in RUN dialog box.
After a window will open, goto Stratup tab and uncheck any entry which was pointing to this wininstall.exe.

Seems some virus or spyware problem!

Looks like a virus problem to me. I also got the same problem once. I found out that
the virus was causing this problem!!! I removed the virus & the problem was solved!!
@Vijay, use a good antivirus like Kaspersky 6.0 & do a full System scan.
