Internet Connection Checker

Right off the assembly line
Hi all

I have bsnl 500 plan which gives me night time unlimited download.

my problem is that sometimes my net connection automatically disconnects, though the modem is running.
then I have to again start my batch file.

I need a freeware to check periodically for internet connection and if its not found, start my batch file.

Does anybody know this kind of software?

Please tell me otherwise I'll have write one myself and that would mean
a lot of work.

Just check the option "Redial if the line is dropped" option in Options tab of your connection properties.

that way, my username and password will be saved by Windows, and
then it'll be damn easy to crack it!

I need to use this on my laptop.
So this method will be quite risky.

I realise that if i use any method then I'll need to save username and password
somewhere, but I hope that the freeware has a good quality encryption.

Could you please give another method?

hello ninja turtle,

you can try NetSNSOR.

I have made it myself.
Its a freeware.
Try it and if you find it good then recommend some of your friends.

If I am not wrong, your username & password will not be of any use to anyone. I've tried some of my friends username & password on my connection and also my username & password on theirs.

Unlike dialup, BSNL Broadband has fixed username & password with the phone number itself. You can try this on your own.

Yes I know that.

But I live here on rent and there are a 4 telephone lines here.
My laptop is always (almost) on, and all my mates know my windows password(no I can't change that).

If by any means they know my password they can use my username and password to connect to internet.

I guess I'll be using NetSENSOR because its the only one that I can understand how to use it.

If any of know any other means then please tell me.
thanks!
