installing Ubuntu-Studio on ubuntu 8.10 - is it safe ?

recently i found a meta-package on synaptic package manager called "ubuntu studio Desktop".. on my ubuntu 8.10.
is it completely safe to installing studio package on Ubuntu 8.10 bcoz i have some important data on my ubuntu8.10.
it create any compatible problem.??

No problem if you install via the ubuntu-studio metapackage in synaptic.

ok. while i apply the changes, it shows that "GNOME audio will be removed".
shall i ignore.?
