Sagar, could u please tell me the problems that u had with intel processors. Which one do u have?

Well, one of my doubts regarding Athlon64 3000+ processor is cleared. It seems that it generates the same if not less heat than P4 processors.

What about multi-tasking? With HT technology, does P4-3Ghz (800 FSB) perform better in this regard than Athlon processors and is Athlon64 3000+ a 64-bit processor? What about P4 3Ghz (LGA-HT -64 bit)? How does it compare with Athlon 3000+?

I'm not having specific problem with processor. its just that amds are better for gaming. i have to agree that ripping DvD , my computer is damn fast compared to many amds.

i aint satisfied with the onboard graphics. most intel boards can run nfsug2 with onborad but my mobo runs it at 2fps after bios update.
that sickens. anyway can u tell me cards for my pc that are very low prices - 2k - 4k which are better than gma900 which i can use and thorw after 2yrs as i'm currently very busy now in my studies . i'l buy a good card after 2 yrs when i can i have tha time to game.

Any card that u can suugest that will suffice for now ? Low card.
i dont mind running game at 640x480. and ultra low settings for now.
i'll thorw it later and buy a good one. my mobo offers both 8x and pcie

PLZ suggest

ANd as far as other things are concerned with the mobo , it pretty good.
DVD and HDD work pretty fast.

Most probably, I will be selling my AGP card and buy Georce 6600 (256 MB) PCI-e. So which motherboard will be best among the following: (I have no interest in overclocking)

1. Asrock 939Dual-SATA2

2. Gigabyte GA-K815

3. Gigabyte K8N51GMF

4. Asus A8N-VM

5. MSI-RS482

6. Plx suggests other mobos if any

PSU: Antec, Powersafe, zebronics r not available in my city so I will have to do with psu's from mercury or iball(intex & frontech r the other brands available)
