I am using Compaq Presario SR1030IL which supports 266/333 MHz as in the following spec.

*h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00068983&dlc=en&lang=en

But I am having a PC2700 MB RAM which should run at 333 MHz but it runs at 266 Mhz...

I am having FSB:DRAM ratio 3:4....so by following this it comes out to be

4/3*100=133.33 MHz which comes out to be 266 Mhz effective clock speed.

But by motherboard is capable of supporting RAM at 333 MHz.. so how can I achieve this...

Is there any way to change the FSB:DRAM ratio...

hmm is there any other ram installed with this one...

Cuz if any other is installed which is of Pc 2100 then they both are bound to be work at 266 Mhz

Anyway you culd check it through Everest or CPUz

First install everest and find out what mobo u have (make and model no )
den go to the website of ur mobo manufacturer and search if any BIOS update is available 4 ur model.Else search the HP/Compaq site with ur pc model no.
