"Cheap and best"

May install 2 80mm Spare fans if need arises. must have an acceptable airflow, also a cabinet with bottom mount PSU is preferable.

2: I will be adding a GPU "GTX960 or 970" in future so advice PSU and cabinet accordingly.

3: 2 4GB ram modules only "Dual Channel"

4: I am not sure of the required PSU by Wattage kindly advice.:-?

5: Advice cheap and best RAM modules.:p

My personal choice are as follows:

Processor : INTEL i5-4440
RAM : Kingston HyperX DDR3 4 GB X 2
Motherboard : GIGABYTE B85M-D3H Motherboard
PSU : ????
Cabinet : ????

Lets proceed...

So what about PSU 450W or 500W, Brand???

Hi dpluvuall,

In my opinion, for basic Intel configuration; there is no need for High wattage PSU. For ease of mind and future proof rig, I would suggest you to go with the high wattage PSU like 450W or 500W. With that in future, you can upgrade the other peripheral components like SSD, HDD and GPU.

For RAM setup, all the sticks (4x2) will need to run at the same voltage, speed and timings. If any one of the statics are different to each other in settings, then the RAM channel configuration shows as incompatible or it will unrecognized by the MOBO.

So 500W PSU will handle a gtx960 and additional HDD in future?
Also i wll order (4X2) RAM Kingston HyperX Fury, will it be OK.

Hi dpluvuall,

Based on your requirement, the 450W PSU is enough. The maximum use of power in your system is 300W, based on your post configuration. I believe, If you are planing to upgrade your system in the future, then 500W PSU is more than enough.

Just a suggestion, for RAM selection, if you run 2 sticks of 1600 Mhz; you will be running memory in dual channel which will be a greater increase in performance than running a single stick in single channel.

Too far from truth.
Shop vendors here are too greedy.
Online shop just opposite.
