I can't suggest much on inverters. You can get a ups and add on various batteries to it. I have elnova 750 ups with 2 batteries which can provide me 4 hours + backup when fully charged!

I dunno the exact prices of the batteries. It was something around 1500-3000.
Brand is Exide Max.

I even dunno what's the power of each battery coz, I didn't order it. I guess it must be 12volts (or whatever the sign is) each.

You should better consult some dealer at your place for exact pricing and suggestions.

For this post:
Well u have two options ..

1. get a Online UPS which has atleast one 180AH battry. should provde atleast 3 hrs backup to one decent PC.

2. Get a Signwave inverter. Atleast 800w fro one PC, reason for higher power rateing. look here *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34537) and add it before Ur pc. again u will need atleast a 180AH battry for >3hr backup.

btw inverts are not bad for PC as per the usual misconception read the above link. UPS = Inverter + AVR(Automatic voltage regulator)
__________
.
Either way 5k is not enough for ur power requirement.

Microtech 800va Signwave inverter - 5000+
Exide Xtra performace 180AH battery - 6000+
Local inverter battry (double the headache + half the power) - 2500+

Online UPS with Battry - i donno but i guess - 8000+
__________
.
so the only way to stay in the budget is to do what I did. Mod ur UPS. Takes a lot of heart and guts
