hi i m been using window xp on my system for last five months without any problem last week i add an additional module of 256 ddr ram and installed window vista on seperate partition but of late i m getting the error bsod screen saying PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Is there any solution to these problem except for reinstallation as this problem is only there in window xp not in vista

From first impression it sounds like bad memory or memory timing problem. Try using just one of the memory sticks (in single channel mode) and see what happens. Then try the other one. But if you've already tried that (and also since you say that "this problem is only there in window xp not in vista") there might be some kind of driver issues between XP & Vista running on the same machine.

Technically, this error condition means that a kernel-mode process or driver tried to access a memory location to which it did not have permission, or at a kernel Interrupt ReQuest Level (IRQL) that was too high. (A kernel-mode process can access only other processes that have an IRQL lower than, or equal to, its own.)
Another a very good link for u that should be given an idea to solve ur prb..
