HTC desire V or Samsung Galaxy S Duos

i am confused in thes two phones ... galaxy is good and might get jellybean upgrade but don't reall like the samsung girlish design . on the other have i find the HTC a cool looking but RAM is 512 and mostly not be epgraded to jellybean .... since othe features are almost same, my prime criterion is product life-cycle i.e. which one will be working good for next 3 yrs (will htc be compatible with other future android) and the looks ... i am confused, not much diff. in price ... which one shud i go for?

Desire V is a good phone for the price as it is now available for only 14-14.5k.
But why you think that a 14k phone will be future proof for next 3yrs.
If you buy Note 2 then I can surely say even after 2yrs you won't regret your purchase.
