hp laptop probleam

hi friends i m facing strange problem is laptop dvd writer..
whenevr i insert any cd it always shows it blank..
while inserting dvd its working fine...
plz help me friends.....
i have win vista with 1gb ram

reload your driver - that's the only thing you can do yourself... if that doesn't work, i'd say its a hardware problem, all hail the warranty!!

you can go for a bios/drive firmware update from the hp website.
