How to teach computer to parents

Hi. i want to teach computer to my mom. She knowes how to perform basic tasks like playing songs. So what sequence should I follow? Which tools should I introduce to?

you didnt mention what you are teaching?

I want to teach Word and Excel (only basic things) and other Windows' basics. I want to know what should I teach regarding windows?

I'm using Windows. Actually the problem is that, I want to teach her computer for the purpose of jobs. I have WIndows 8, they'll be having WIn 7. i have office 2010, they'll be having office 2007 :(

What is desktop? icons, arrange icons, changing screensavers, wallpaper, creating folders, shortcuts, task-bar, time settings, system tray, start menu, accessories notepad (typing then saving file, opening file then start word-pad and show changing fonts, color and other options, calculator
what is my computer? about drives. copy paste cut creating shortcut to file/folder/software. rename delete
copying files from DVD to local drives.


guess this will keep you busy for next 1 week. :D

Hmmm. you can order them on DVD for 200 bucks. just saying.
then go as i said and i will update you later whats next. you can skip things that is not important in your case.
just want to learn editing documents then i highly suggest notepad => wordpad=> ms-word.

I gave up on teaching computers to my PC
I tried with desktop and but my parents said they wanted laptop
gave laptop and its been sitting somewhere in the closet since then.
Best advice, teach them to use facebook and to learn to google stuff. nuff said.
