Can you hear it..??
Guys,I've few movie files with subtitles (.srt format ) which are not in synch with
the movie. Is there any way to correct the file either editing that file or using any
options in mediaplayer (does Klite have any option..??)

Also, if there is no sync option, this type of error or mismatch arises wen u DONT hv the correct type of subtitle file (.srt file) for ur version of movie, say sum movies are Xvid rips, sum are DivX rips adn sum are jus avi..and wen u DO NOT use the correct type of .srt with the compatible movie, this occurs.. :)

The best software out there to play with subtitles files is Subtitle Workshop..

You can download it from here *www.urusoft.net/download.php?lang=1&id=sw

The synchronization problem is due to the fact that the movie file is encoded in different FPS than the subtiles file..

You can set the FPS of the subtitles file and preview it simultaneously in the software.

Just choose the option of 'Load movie automatically..."

In Kantaris. you can set a delay (in no. of seconds) after which you want the subtitle to be shown.
Like if it's too far ahead, insert a delay of 4 secs.
But this only works in Kantaris and does not fix the issue...

Thanks guys.I wasnt looking fora 3rd party tool. And yes I knew regarding
that fps thing..And yes in VLC there is an option.

In Klite too there is a delay option, But can't
give -ve values in delay.. else it could've
fixed the issue.
